@mightyminor not only that, it keeps the turbo spooled up so when you get back in the throttle, you don't have as much turbo lag as you would with out a BOV

Bov/dumpvalve is needed to release excess air pressure from the inlet manifold when throttle is released, this stops the engine from racing and keeps everything sane

@DSMeclipsegst NICE! i drive an 86 starion 2.6L intercooled 15PSI with upgrades. I also run no BOV! I just walk off to when stupidity rears its ugly head.

@1JZdorifto SOOOOO True Example Mitsubishi Starion Turbo 2.6L engine Intercooler No, BOV No, 8psi with adjustable/Blocked off wastegate YES!!! And i have never seen a problem with one of those models of Starion until the Newer ones hit the market with a FMIC but still No BOV!!! lol got to love how ricers hear thats turbo where is the BOV??? I dont have one on this particular car.... then your not turbo......i walk away...... damn ricers dont know about classic Mitsubishis SMH
