  • As I've said, Annette also recorded the song (written for her by Jimmie Dodd) for Disney's record label in 1959, 'Enigma'. It's on one of her albums and a "45 single" as well....

  • @fromthesidelines Sorry, never heard of any song like this, let alone Annette singing it in her album in 1959 or any other year Her '59 album "Annette" included _ 1.Tall Paul, 2.My Heart Became of Age, 3.Don`t Jump to Conclusions, 4.Lonely Guitar, 5.It Took Dreams, 6.Wild Willie, 7.Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Boy, 8.How Will I Know My Love, 9.Ma, He`s Making Eyes at Me, 10.Especially for You, 11.That Crazy Place From Outer Space, 12.Love Me Forever

  • I seem to remember, that the studio version had the guitar played by JIMMIE DODD

(R.I.P.) and it was one of the very first uses of the "Leslie" (whirling speaker) to

give a "vibrato" effect to a guitar, even pre-dating CAROL KAY'E'S use of it on the

1965 Jewel Akins' hit "The Birds and The Bees".

  • Annette & Zorro; 2 Disney icons. This is some powerful Mouse mojo. Props to the poster

  • @beatlesopera she was pretty, like a real person. i was a little on the young side, to remember too much, but there are famous tales of her "sprouting" womanhood on the mm-club . pardon the easy pun,but she obviously "stood out". she was also warm and friendly,at a time when that was still a cool thing to be.

  • For someone like myself who didn't live in the heyday of Annette Funicello's popularity, it can be hard to figure out the exact reason for her popularity, but not after watching this video.

  • Nice song by Annette. From Annette teen album. Everybody adored Annette.

  • @fromthesidelines it's the same song but recorded a little differently by Annette on the 1993 box set: "A Musical Reunion with America's Girl Next Door [Box Set]" on Amazon. It's a great box set!

  • Does anyone know where to find the chords for this guitarsolo?? I really love this version!!!

  • retro emo disney you go!
