Leviathan 63, a steam locomotive built new (completed in 2009) to an 1860's design makes a fast run on the main track at Illinois Railway Museum on August 7, 2011. The engine is a 4-4-0.

  • i dont know where people get the idea tha these kind of locomotives were slow and weak,some of them were capable of 60 mph, and to be so small quite powerful!!

  • 4-4-0s run a lot faster than they look which is why they are as beautiful and as graceful as they are, especially Leviathan.
