Leviathan 63, a steam locomotive built new (completed in 2009) to an 1860's design makes a fast run on the main track at Illinois Railway Museum on August 7, 2011. The engine is a 4-4-0.
i dont know where people get the idea tha these kind of locomotives were slow and weak, some of them were capable of 60 mph, and to be so small quite powerful!!

4-4-0s run a lot faster than they look which is why they are as beautiful and as graceful as they are, especially Leviathan.
