Me singing & playing "Five foot two" on my Tyler Mountain Banjo Ukulele. I have only been playing for a couple of years. Sorry about the audio being out of sync with the video, I used my digital camera and when it uploaded it got weird.

  • Nice performance.

I've been learning to play a soprano uke for six months and am thinking about getting another. My hands (fingers) are a little large for a soprano uke, so I'm looking at a tenor next. But I also like the sound of the banjo and banjo uke. How does the size compare to other "standard" ukes?

  • @LsBaba It's the same scale as a soprano.

  • Ive always wondered how they managed this wonderfull sound on those great LP records my grandmother left me. ;) Quite interesting. Howmuch do these instruments usually cost?

  • This one cost $250

  • Want a cheap banjo ukulele that sounds like this, advice please?

    Love your voice btw...

  • This is a Tyler Mtn. brand

  • Great job and I like the banjo-uke. I've played songs like 5 foot 2, and Aint she Sweet at retirement residences with my tenor uke. I learned a lot of old songs on the ukulele from your videos.

  • If you want a banjo uke, just make one with a cookie tin. Since you're gona use nylon strings, you don't need a truss rod in the neck and it's all the sudden super easy.

  • I've always loved strange little instruments like this...

Is that a KLH radio on the nightstand? :)

  • @LsBaba Try out the concert size. It might be a comfortable fit, but still small and sharp sounding. I have big hands, but I can play a concert scale just fine.

Gold Tone makes banjo ukes in the four main sizes, and Avenue banjo-ukes are available in concert scale. Elderly Instruments has them.

  • so beautiful! I love your voice!

Thanks for sharing that! In a few hours i'm going to search for a Banjo uke in our guitarstore and when it costs 250, i'm definitely going to buy one today. Ik play ukulele for about 2 years already. I'm so excited.

  • great job...sweet!!
