Egyptians (especially racially non-Arab Egyptians, which are by far the majority of Egyptians) get sensitive when it gets to the topic of races.. as most people outside of Egypt do not differentiate between the Arabic language (which we all speak), and the racially Arab Egyptians, and they think that all Egyptians are automatically Arabs. Something more or less similar to how South Americans get offended when people refer to "America" as only the USA and not the continent.
