dude i'm not pretty sure about this o_O
i mean my brother hav a 42" samsung LCD screen for more than 3 years now and it's working really cool
even if it's not full HD it's still great for gaming and watching DVD's n tv
i dont really know if my case is the exeption or yours
actually my friend told me the same thing about HP pc's and that i should get a dell xps
but now i have my HP pc for more than a year and it's working great
a little bit noisy (dust in the cooler) but still great

@Topunga81 You spend over 2 grand on a JUNK tv and it takes a DUMP in 14 months and see how much hate you have.
And I'M not alone. There are THOUSANDS OF OTHERS THAT SAMSUNG SCREWED.

Put that junk back in the box and run as fast as U can back to return it.
Put "SAMSUNG TV CLICKING" into a google search and read about how THOUSANDS of samsung customers are screwed and pissed off because their tv became TOAST just after the warranty expired. Do the search and don't be the next SAMSUNG SUCKER !!

i was just about to buy an used but this ones had only 8000 of dinamic contrast... i think the static contrast is 1800~2000...
Can u check on your manual user what static contrast your have?
And uhh, r u satisfied with it? Any bad happens, only happy happens?

dude this tv has contrast ratio of 15000:1.....nothing bad so far....i have to say its great.......i mostly play ps3 nd xbox 360...
