When the special interests that are looking out ONLY for their interests (usually at the expense of your interests) start to crank up their high paid media machine, you would expect something better then this if they actually had any kind of point.

Fear of change, fear of the unknown, fear of the unfamiliar are all part of basic human psychology. Dont be fooled by those not looking out for your best interests. Keep this in mind; they are spending millions of dollars fighting healthcare reform. Do you think they are spending that kind of money to protect you or them?

  • hey, awesome channel TheVigilante2000. you seem like a clear-headed guy. this video is the reason i subscribed. Thanks!

  • Thx, My current outrage is the idea of coverage denial. It is in the best interest of insurance co.s to make a profit on every customer. I run a business and I make sure I MAKE money on every one of MY clients. Health insurance is no different, they would be fools not to be. That is the real problem, it must be run as a collective to be fair and really function as insurance.

  • Health Care will never be reformed. The National Healthcare system in Canada and Japan are a joke. In Canada, you have to wait 6-8 months to see the doctor. If you a diabetic (who can't wait that time) your dead. In Japan you don't have to wait but you have three minutes to see the doctor. But I agree ours isn't fair either.

  • My mom and dad both died in Canada due to illness. As an all American boy I was suspicious of 'Socialized Medicine', but I have to say I was impressed. They both got first rate care and did not have to wait to see a doctor for any longer then in the US. Even with emergency helicopter transport and in-home nursing assistance, they ended up paying nothing (except for their insurance premiums).

  • good job, so will you move here to retire too? just don't write that on the immigration papers....

  • Well my mom was Canadian, making me half Canadian. I am thinking of trying to use that to become Canadian myself, but I don't believe in duel citizenship, but that is another rant.

  • @drphil1978 now you know why americans are known as idiots in worldwide

  • I'm very surprised this video only has 200 views. As a physician, I can objectively see how terrible insurance companies are, especially individual coverage. At least with a govt option, as inefficient as it may be, the stated goal would be to provide quality healthcare ultimately. Given current private health plans, health care insurers cannot even pretend to be concerned about healthcare foremost, with the number of restrictions, pre-existing conditions, etc.

  • health reform now.

  • Healthcare "reform" isn't a bad idea. It's the way that it's reformed that's key. Private companies are motivated by greed for profit. Gov't is motivated by greed for power. I got no problem with someone wanting a little cash. But power corrupts.

I might support it if all the money to pay for it comes from disbanding arbitrary government organizations and cutting all legislators, judges, and executive officials salaries. How many of them you think would actually vote for that?

  • I don't know, I can only speak for myself from my and my fanilies experiences.

  • Then how come everyone I meet from a Universal Healthcare system? Not just Canada but the U.K. all hate it and think it is ineffective? In fact all I hear is, everyone with money goes to the U.S. to get care.

  • Among his many problems he has diabetes, cancer, infections and the mri has just confirmed 4 strokes. It sucks, however I am very satisfied with the care he has received. He has bee paying taxes for 45 years and now that he is in need he has a wonderful healthcare system taking care of him. (this is a response to JJJohnson32) Anyhow I just wanted to share my positive position on our system.
