The Flatlanders at the Narows in Fall river on April 10, 2009. Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock, with bass, drums, and lead guitar. An exceptional show, the audience of 250 left shaking their heads at what a great concert they had just attended. The Flatlanders looked as if they were
having as much fun as the onlookers. The band was tight, the sound pristine. The lead guitarist, who played a tele and a Gibson SG, incorporating some real nice slide work, added tasteful licks song after song and rocking out when asked. the band played some new songs off their newest CD and they were very good, especially one by Butch, I think called "Julie".
This is the first video i took at a concert and I forgot my good mic, but the sound is decent if played through some decent speakers. I stand by the cinema-verte handheld camera work - at least it's not just in a static positon for an entire song.
I caught three shows of this tour so far and i'm so glad you got some video! OMG, they rock this song! Thanks!!!!
