The Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur ( room & view )

15 Dec 09, today 2 car drive from muar at 7.15 am, arrived hotel and check-in into the room at 12 pm.

reservation by phone one month early, check-in fast and easy, superior twin room in 10 floor, 1014, 1015 and 1023. parents, maple & 2 kids, 2 auntie chua together.

clean and comfortable air-cond in room with good view of Plaza Low Yak at Jalan Bukit Bintang Street.

very good WiMAX signal in room, so I no need to use hotel Wi-Fi connection, I used my own WiGGY USB modem online and upload my video shooting today to till now. ( 16 Dec 09 - 2.07 am )

glad you liked your stay. but we didnt have such luck! arrived on 8 Dec 10 on the way back to Spore.

stayed at rooms 0715 and 0716. either of the rooms key slot didnt work, water pressure was low till no water, hair dryer didnt work either, kettle took ages to boil, bath towel was not provided. Worst of all calls to the Duty Manager and Reception went unanswered!

Toured 5 days thru out West Malaysia and this stay was most unpleasant!

@sg2sin this time we stayed in 25 Nov 10, driving from Ipoh back to Muar.

7 floor, room 0743, Merdeka deluxe room, all facility in room work well, large space, air-cond 22 C.

sorry to hear that all family of you facing unhappy experience, honestly this hotel is quite good as we stayed over than 3 times before.

experience stayed in Avillion Admiral Cove Port Dickson, the room television didn't work well, Puteri Resort Melaka room air-cond not well, they change a room for us too.

@markchem, need your help. we were disappointed by the Penang Hawker Food while there. maybe we went to the wrong place i.e. outside Sunway Hotel and maybe mostly for tourists. any recommendation for some real authentic Penang Food? Thanks

@markchem, its ok. was an experience too. had too many comfortable hotels...lol. fellow tour group faced the same. important that accomdations are safe and acceptable and have to admit it was. personally felt "something" in the shower...maybe was tired?

considering the blooms in hotels there. no worries...will defintely try it again! after all the "adventure", was acceptable!
