Deltic D9009 (55009) Derails at the Nene Valley Railway 05th Sept 2009. The on lone preserved Deltic had just brought a routine train into Wansford at 1600hrs and was being backed-up to await the next duty. Just as she ran over the points the back 3 axles came off the rails. As you can see not an everyday event!

  • good thing he wasnt lying

  • Oops

  • How would you get it back on the rails? its under the bridge so you can't just lift it back on to the rails... Jeez! Well done for having your camera at the ready

  • Ive had a deltic on the mainline. it was good, but i do like the voyagers better. But the class 66 is the best loco built, ive had loads on tours, im a main man when it comes to bashing voyagers.

  • @eezy1972 How dare you say that!

  • uh oh!, I bet the health and safety executives (with their clip boards and 3 piece-suits) had a right field day!

  • Okay, so where's the massive hand that lifts the road bridge off and then takes three or four goes to get it back on properly?!!!!

  • "SHIT!!" lol

  • @LukeCA18 I'd assume they'd need to use a crane.
