There is probably no sentiment or opinion concerning Jesus of Nazereth in today's squishy, relativistic and, yes, irrational culture more common than: "He was a great man - perhaps the greatest who ever lived - and a fantastic moral teacher and exemplar. We should place him up on a pedestal along with Buddha, Confucius, Plato, the Dalai Lama, etc. and try to follow their examples and teachings. But to say that Jesus stands somehow alone or is the only way to God or salvation is intolerant and wrong." Oh. yeah?
I grabbed this segment from a great sermon by Dr. Tim Keller entitled "Christ: The Final Word" and put it to some crucifixion footage we shot a number of years ago and a score by Mick Richards.
Says it well, I think; even adding a bit to C.S. Lewis famous quote about Jesus either being a "lunatic, liar or LORD"
BTW, if you are not familiar with Dr. Keller you would do well by your eternal soul to invest some time in this man's teaching. From honest skeptic to mature believers. there a feast waiting for everyone. Thankfully, there are hours of free sermons posted on his church's website. Go to http://sermons.redeemer.com/store/ and click on the green Free Sermons box on the left, fourth from the bottom.
Great point. I run into this type of illogic all the time. And what is interesting about it is how unaware these "tolerant" "all paths lead to God"-type folks are of the inherent exclusivity (i.e. intolerance) of their particular "truth claim." Their "truth" (which BTW is rooted in their typically Western, white and "educated" (so open-minded that their brains have leaked out) milieu) objectively condemns anyone who believes that Jesus is God as being either unenlightened, or, yes, stupid.

The New Testament is a complete fabrication, the Rabbis know this, thats why they don't believe in the Jesus myth. The Calpurnius Piso of Rome wrote all the books in the NT over many decades. It was a family affair. There would thousands upon thousands of extra-biblical accounts of Jesus if he had actually existed, instead we get short, sporadic accounts from everybody but the ancient christians. And not to mention the Nag Hammadi writings exposing the true nature of god of the bible.

"He will not stay on that shelf." That's where I had Him for years; not realizing that I was the one on the shelf.
