Welcome to the Upper Peninsula of MI. Home of the grossly overpopulated recently delisted wolves. Kinda late now isn't it USF&W? At well over 1200% above the original "recovery" goals the damage is done. Where were you? Why havent I seen a deer or rabbit track in two months? Do I have to pack a .45 to the bus stop? They don't have anything else to eat!

  • Aren't they delisted for you now? I read that Obama had suddenly had an injection of intelligence or something, and was basically asking hunters to clean up the man made problem created by the lies and half truths of a gov't funded group. Not true? I wonder how the gov't will duck the blame when the first person is killed or maimed by this feral animal. Any bets? Wonder where they'll get new stock to try and replace the species devastated by this mistake? Good hunting Cory.

  • @2433006guy They're delisted but have no plans for a public hunt, just taking care of some problem packs. We know that they're all problem packs though when unmanaged and I have little faith in the MIDNR on the matter.

  • Hopefully Michigan will attempt to make wolves a huntable species, instead of a protected species. At least you have the delisting to enforce the couple Michigan laws that are enforce now for livestock and attacking of dogs. I trust the Michigan DNR will do something before your wolf population is over 1,000.

  • @deerwhacker7 I sure hope you're right.

  • WOW! They seem to be as populated as the deer are in the lower part of the state. I even heard of them living in the northern lower. Well when the time comes, I'll be up there trying to do my part lol. I'm sure it'd be an awful expensive mount haha

  • @1CHANCEPRO Coming soon to a woods near you! They're worth a lot at auction. Shoot 2 and sell one to pay for the mount haha.

  • THe corrupt MIDNR doesn't want to have wolf hunting and trapping season. I guess their too stupid to figure out their paycheck comes from Hunters. Time to start firing the welfare biologist in Michigan that hide the destruction wolves did to the deer herd. 100 wolves per State then State management but MIDNR is so full on anti hunter traitors they don't care about children wildlife or people force out of business by the useless vermin rat wolves.

  • That's what happens when you need numbers down and fast good ol fashioned cull

  • I sence a wolf cull coming in the near future

  • I trust you will do whatever is necessary to keep your family safe Cory. Thanks so darn much for posting this. It really shows how serious this problem has become.

  • @skylhaslive So you feel that a feral animal being moved in should dictate where a person can live? I'm sorry for being bitter, but if you really want to veiw it through those glasses (rose colored), do you have any thoughts on where humans should be allowed to live? Like where, that they haven't kicked out some type of wildlife that inhabited the area before before man moved in? I consider this wolf species to be similar to the feral hog, and should be dealt with the same.

  • @skylhaslive Idaho has more public land than MI. The point is they are a problem everywhere. They steralize wildife in MI just as they do out west. This was a recovery/introduction disaster that was not supposed to impact hunting, ranching or pose a threat to the states.....all of which have been greatly impacted both here in the great lakes states and out west. I will deal with it! Believe that!
