This video was actually made for a project that I worked on. I hope it gives you some information about the famous gymnasts you always hear about but may not actually know about.

  • WOw, well then. You have a load of homework to do. Larissa Latynina, Natalia Kuchinskaya, Vera Caslavska, Ludmilla Touricheva, Elena Mukhina, Nellie Kim, Olga Mostepanova, Ma Yanhong, Oksana Omelianchick, Aurelia Dobre, Daniela Silivas, Elena Shushunova, Natalia Laschenova, Boginskaya, Henrietta Onodi, Kim Zmescal, Simona Amanar, Lavinia Milosovici, Andrea Raducan, Khorkina, Carly Patterson, Cheng Fei, Shawn Johnson.... There you can have a more complete list.

  • @espinaca79 I couldn't have a long project, so I just did some of the most famous, well-known gymnasts. I also fail to see how Shawn Johnson changed the history of gymnastics.

  • This is a nice way to express what the average American gymnastics fan thinks.

Put please let it be known that some American gymn fans are actually informed.

And no Khorkina? or Boginskaya? or Silivas? or Caslavska?

Dude. Do your homework before you try to give "some good information" to others about the history of the sport. Please.

  • Sorry. This was just a project that I had done earlier on. I only had a certain amount of time to work on it, so I'm sorry I didn't add all of those gymnasts.

  • Mary Lou Retton was the first American gymnast to win the AA at the Olympics.

  • This was a great video but Nastia liukin really didn't change gymnastics in any way/shape/form.

  • Loved it!!!

It really makes you remember what sparked this beautiful sport that we all love:)

  • Olga makes me proud to be part Russian living in Minnesota!!!!!

  • wow, i never knew there were such mean hating people out there. All your comments are really nasty. Post yours up here and i will critique your efforts. You are all nasty, horrible people

  • @gymnasticsloverxoxo I think she brought back and reminded us of how balletic and clean gymnastics should be done. i think she did. Gymnastics could have moved on into choppy, sloppy moves all about difficulty but nasia brought back the neat lines

  • @solefe22 you're a fat retard. first American to win AA Gold in the Olympic Games. "worst in the gymnast."? you're stupid.

  • why am i watching this??? you can always end up on the wrong side of youtube easily

  • "Current AA Champion" WTF... What's historical about it?

  • @sadistkangel She didn't set any records or win any medals that other American gymnasts hadn't won before her. There are also no moves originated by her. Yes she's an incredibly talented gymnast but others before her and after her have affected the history of gymnastics more.

  • How can anyone not see how Shawn Johnson changed the history of gymnastics, you must not really know what gymnastics is all about?

  • the olympian hana ricna, MY COACH
