@EVILKINGGANONDORF1 I think he is a reference from stephen king's dark tower. he is a man in black, those who read minds, and see the future. that and a combination of death. As at the end, he is at the place at which john will be buried and calls it a fine spot. then tells john he will see him around.

@XtrAvaGent46 I think he is a messanger to god....notice the missions he has John do? they each have a choice in them, right, and wrong....John does the right thing, and the stranger reports back to god, and tells him to accept John's soul as a redeemed, straightened spirit, that found the path of rightousness, in a world plagued with sin and greed....when the time comes for John to die, his soul and sins would be forgiven and he is welcomed through the gates of holy trinity.
