    I also thinks that you should not forget to mention that there often is an publication-fee that authors have to pay when they publish OA, but there are many OA-Journals that do not charge fees, because Grants widely support free publication.

    But another problem that exists concerning scientific publications is that most scientists rely on the reputation of the big Toll-Access journals like Science and Nature. OA-Journals like the BMC-Series and PLoS are on a good way but still far behind

    I am a big fan of open access. But to get tell the whole story: some open access journals are charging the authors a certain fee to get the article published.
