The kid was simply stating that the water level was higher in the tall glass because the width at the bottom of said tall glass was less, as he pointed out to the stupid lady.

he got it, he knew it looked different cause the glass was a different shape, but he's only five and could quite phrase it right, come on, give him a break

the kid was measuring the volume difference of the two glasses, the experimenter phrased the question wrong, in that, her question was "which glass holds more water"...not idoes the amount of water differ between the two glasses.....first off. the kid was NOT in agreement with her statement that the two smaller glasses held equal amounts of water, secondly, the boy was confused and questionable regarding the experimenters demand of equality, and the water transfer lessened the amount of water
