Me and my dad (Roger Troutman) used to talk about that intro a lot, and about all types of things,

The is SOOOOO great!From birth I grew up in the studio and living in Dayton,Ohio the best studio to grow up in was Troutman Sound Labs. My mother and grandmother sang background vocals for this very song, Marchelle "Shelley" Smith and Delores Smith respectively.I was in the studio when they recorded "Do It Roger" and this song is in my earliest of memories.Thank you for this wonderful interpretation of this song!And thank you for taking the time to listen enjoy and learn the music I grew up in-

Very, Very, Good! I bought the album that the song, 'Do It Roger' was on(TheManyFacetsofRoger) the day it came out in '81. To me, next to the remake of 'Heard It Through The Grapevine', this was The Best Song on that album and even 2day, it is Still one of The Best Jamz ever put 2gether. From the background vocals to the solo at the end, Roger was a Genius!!
