Yet another clip of me improvising on drums, this time I'm very happy with the snare sound! Snare is a brand new Pearl Sensitone Elite Brass 14"x6,5", gotta love it. Other gear used:

Tama Granstar: 24"x16" bass, 12"x9", 14"x13" and 16"x16" toms
Cymbals from your left to right:
Stagg Traditional 18" china,
Stagg 10" SH splash on top of Meinl Classics 12" china splash on x-hat stand (drilled some holes in the china)
Meinl Byzance 18" thin crash
Sabian HHX 21" groove ride
Stagg Classic 18" thin crash
Stagg black metal bell
Zildjian K 14" hihat
Meinl Byzance 8" splash
Meinl Classics 8" splash (also with some holes, that just seems to work on Meinl Classics -series :D )

Mics used: Rode NT-5 overheads, AKG D112 in kick, Shure SM57 on snare, Beyerdynamic Opus87's on toms. Video recorded with Canon Powershot S2. Presonus Firepod -interface connected to a PC running Cubase LE.

..and some weird facial expressions

  • which one is the crash near the ride you use more, it sound nice! is it the stagg??

  • @metiltdah that's the byzance 18" thin. stagg is the one above the hihat.

  • ja taas aivan uskomatonta työtä. :) tuo ride on aika mielenkiintosen kuulonen. minkä merkkinen? :D

  • @MegaGuitarFreak123 Sabian HHX groove ride 21"

  • lol funny i have the feeling i know u from the movie "YAMAKASI" its a parkour-movie and there is a guy that looks very close to you :)

  • @cuschtim5 What's more funny is that Yama is pronounced like Jämä in our language, which means leftover. Käsi means hand. So the name of that movie sounds like leftover hand to me.

  • I used to be a big fan of Remo until I got the Evans Ec2 sst heads, they sound amazing. Your kit sounds amazing, very clean playing style too.

  • Hey man, nice playing and a sweet sound. Just wondering what heads you're using on your kick, batter and reso.

  • @pyhtio niin mie vähän arvelinki :D kaverille tuli eilen samanlainen :D

  • your technique is amazing. how you're able to hit that lightly and have so much power and control is just astounding.

  • Four things:

    1. Nice playing!

    2. I would be happy with that snare sound, too.

    3. Looks like I'm not the only one (besides Terry Bozzio) who likes to play "melodies" with his toms.

    4. Your hi-hat stand is noisy. You might wanna check that.

  • i love the snare sound.ahh

  • He has quite big tits!! :D

  • Snare sounds awesome at 1:59-2:02
