well I am not sure who was behind it but the town I grew up in had a sighting I seen it along with others including our chief of police...I have always explained away as being a millitary project they hide from us as I grew up near an airforce base...it was in the 70's and it was gone in the blink of an eye after it had sat an hovered for some reason...it was saucer shaped and red hot like a hot plate on a stove....

@stephenawolfe Well said!

@RexMundiUsurper the closer you are to a large object, the slower time gets. over the course of your life if you were to live in a skyscraper, you'd actually age a few brief seconds (over the course of a full lifetime) slower than someone living their entire life on the surface of the earth. the same goes for a black hole. you could technically "travel through time" if you orbitted a black hole (which has lots of mass, time slows down). orbitting a black hole is the only realway to "time travel"

@WatchingViking just like adam lamberts recent discovery?
-
@a1mint i'll have to search that up!
I've heard that if you spend 20 years in space travelling, by the time you come back, earth would have aged 100 years (approx. numbers) depending on your speed of travel. Even GPS satellites' internal clocks are set slower (i believe...or faster) because time is passing them at a different rate than on earth. If the clocks were set with actual earth time, we'd all be lost because they would be telling us we're somewhere else. Very interesting stuff indeed

@RexMundiUsurper But I haven't completely wrapped my head around the subject myself either.
I'm confused about what the traveler observes. Does he see everything speed up around him? I think not.
Search youtube for "theory relativity"...

There are some really interesting videos on the theory of relativity. The notion that you yourself operate like a mechanical device (at the speed of light, like a computer).
When you move really fast, the electrons slow down in one direction. So your internal clock, the speed you operate at, slows down. At least that is how the rest of the universe will see you. You yourself will not notice this at all.

@a1mint lol...okay, now you're just trying to spin my head :D lol I love this kind of stuff though...it interests me. I just with I had the complete mind capacity of an astro-physicist! I read this stuff over and over, yet still have a hard time wrapping my mind around it. Just when I think I have it figured out, you come along and confuse me....lol
I've been looking for that paper I read, but can't find it. I will eventually!
-
@RexMundiUsurper I know! Notice how I didn't mention what the approaching person is observing. If he sees light move away from him at the speed of light, does he see himself approach the other person at....what speed...? half?
-
@a1mint damn this stuff is confusing! I'm going to have to read that paper again. Hopefully I can dispute your claim...lol....but I won't count on it :D
everyone who watch this know deep down inside, that it is real. they just dont want to admit it and talk about it even though they know its real haha.

First, I'd like to note for the viewing audience that this was broadcast on November 13, 2007. Second, I agree with broncobra that CNN tries to downplay this. The fact is, the topic of UFOs have never been so popular; CNN just wants to 'cash in' on the sudden wave of interest, while attempting to protect their popular view. Even CNN's big chiefs are just pawns on a giant chess board... At what expense will disclosure come? Loss of belief of Religions or their deity, who knows? Time will tell.
