@libbertines I never said I was superior and I didn't tell him how to fish. I said why don' t you try it. Defensive much? When was the last time you caught a fish on a fly with the bug in its belly? When you use a fly you get to choose if you kill the fish or not. When you use a worm you've got a hook in the fish's gut and he's likely going to die regardless. That's a bummer. Notice I didn't insult you? Give it a shot.

@t0adman Although i like the idea, i despise people like you who feel the need to tell people how to fish. Everyman to their own. Maybe he kept the fish to eat it.. there is nothing wrong with that.. Also, perhaps like me he fly fishes from time to time, although sometimes i can't be bothered and would much prefer to trott a worm, or if the water is high, use a spinner. don't leave such snide comments, you are not superior.

How about you use a barbless hook and release that fish so you can catch him next time? Maybe try using a fly?
