3:21 I dont know what the red car was thinking when it go three wide in an ARCA race in Talladega. ''WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I'm going three wide to the finis...'' BAM

If you ever want to do a Rick Allen impression, just yell, "Problems!", and you're golden.

Big Air!

@erasetoimprove it appears to me that the spoilers have helped alot to keep these cars on the ground.
-
@erasetoimprove flips are exciting, and i would like too see the plates off too, but i think that no matter what NASCAR does, at these speeds there is always a possibilty of the cars getting airbourne.
-
@22kurtfan22 I really do wish there was a better method of fighting the issue of cars going airborne. I'd like to see the plates taken off at Daytona and Talladega some day, but liability insurance will not insure a race with speeds much above 200MPH until a better method is found. That is the real issue for NASCAR. Tracks started being denied liability insurance after 1987 when the average speed exceeded 200MPH.
-
@erasetoimprove i agree. but sometimes it does look that way
-
@22kurtfan22 it doesn't matter. If the car gets airborne after the roof flaps deploy it is simply because they are designed to deploy BEFORE the car starts to get airborne. If the flaps deploy after the car gets airborne most of the time they will force the car back on the ground, however roof flaps deploying AFTER the car goes airborne is more sluggish than one would hope. The fact is, if there was no roof flaps there would well be over a dozen "blowovers" a season in the Cup Series alone.
-
@erasetoimprove well you just have to see if the car gets airborn before or after the flaps deploy

I wonder what that official was thinking. Also, I would be willing to bet that if we didn't have roof flaps we would have a car in the air just about every race if the speeds were high enough.
