America doesn't want an intelligent society. They want drones dumb enough to keep the cycle going.

@EPSWhiz I work in a school and cannot agree with you more. We have to remember that the majority of teachers in public schools have never seen the real world. These people graduate HS, go to college where they intern in schools. After they leave college they then get a job IN A SCHOOL. They have no idea how the real world works and how good they have it. Don't even get me started on teacher unions.

@sgkilla89 Well, they're not animals or minerals, so what else would they be?
Just kidding. I tell people all the time -- if it has seeds, it's a fruit. Or it could be a flower, but we don't eat many of those.

China is also higher in student suicides...they fail to mention this.

Finland is successful in education because they have a small population, hardly all the students come from the same culture, religion, and race, and lastly their only are chosen to work if they came in the top 10% of their class in college.
Chinese are listed by city because they have big populations and are they have different education systems in each region.
All of them go to school more then us Americans do.

Rich countries have many toys for their children to play than book. For example: children play video game and many other toys, they rush their homework last moment. That's why! But I can't force them to do homework first or law in america will file me as children abuse.

Hello? The four major Chinese zones (China, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong) all start teaching Physics and Chemistry in Grade School, at the 5th or 6th grade.
