Gardai force Digger onto Private Land

Gardai in Pollatomas, Co. Mayo, attempt to drive a digger through local protesters onto private land in the ongoing protest against Shell. The action was found to be illegal and Shell have apologised for their mistake.

How do we know this is private land? Shell could possibly own it or they could have permission from the land owner to be there.

The land owner refused shell permission, and consequently his solicitor proved that this driveway was his private property.
