X-COM: Enemy Unknown | Preview Demo

X-COM is a series of turn-based tactics games preventing aliens from invading the earth. X-COM: Enemy Unknown, also known as UFO: Enemy Unknown and X-COM: UFO Defense in the United States, was the first one in this series. It has been developed by Mythos Games and published by Microprose in 1993. It was also available on Sony PlayStation. Your mission was to build X-COM bases around the world and to watch alien activities. You had to hire employees and to do technology research to be able to fight these aliens before they take over the earth. In this video, you can see the MS-DOS preview demo still called X-COM: Terran Defense Force, the working title during development. I hope, you like it :)

@AngleWyrm Technically, yes it is the game's original name is UFO: Enemy Unknown. It was later released as XCOM: UFO Defense and XCOM: Enemy Unknown for the Playstation

Having bought this on steam... I forgot just how difficult it was...

Even on 'beginner' to get myself back into the play style, the first mission against a small ufo left my soldiers crippled... 3 dead, 1 with reduced TU's...

2nd mission, a single alien with a blast weapon killed 2, KO'd 5... Mission ended there :S.

i really loved this game, played it alot way back when, unfortunately i never got it completed cause for some reason , halfway through the final mission i got out of memory error and got kicked out to dos on my p75 8ram machine :(
