i dont got it, its confusing. calculating by positions? calculating the table and players cards? it think it never gonna make sense. if we imagine the rotation of bb, sb and d if you know what i mean. im sorry for my comments, it just really confusing. maybe because i got different theorys about this and i think faulty, but i truly respect john caldwell.

A great thing to do in early, middle or in the blinds is check in the dark before the flop turn and river,, it basically puts you in late position

@neeber89 first of all, he said "the likelihood of flopping A PAIR is only 12%." Not a pair of aces, or top pair, but a pair, as in any pair. Second, the rule of 4 and 2 applies to the probability of hitting an out on the turn or river *when you've already seen the flop,* not the likelihood of making a hand ON the flop. So you're barking up the wrong tree there.

I don't know where he got 12% from.  Probably his ass.

Hes using the 4 and 2 rule of Hold'em, which is calculate your outs for the flop (in the pair case is 3) and then multiply by 4 = 12%, it would be 24% for either one of the cards to hit

Um, 8:08 - wtf?! The chance of flopping 1 pair with any 2 unpaired hole cards is 28%, not 12%, and 32% to make a pair *or better.*
