When I heard of the democracy challenge, I was immediately hooked to create something. Democracy is a very simple and yet very powerful idea. I decided to make a video that will hopefully educate kids on the values of democracy while reminding us adults why it is so important to uphold it for all all us.

"Democracy is our right to choose"

Yep, I have the right to tell everyone what I think they should do. If I win then they must listen to the guy I like. Of course, if no one represents your views or your views are unpopular, you don't get the right to choose because you don't share the same beliefs as society..

You know where I truly do have the right to choose? A grocery store.

The only way the people can eventually be trusted with such a celestial article as democracy is to first have absolutism by a benign proxy. A dictatorship or better yet a Sovereign. I am sick to death of the over-rated poetry inspired notion that we are somehow READY as a civilization to embrace the responsibility of an essentially good idea. We are, unfortunately, not ready and must be governed by those who will nurture their young(us) and lead them from puberty to adulthood.
