Race to the Last Giants Bobblehead!

I've always been curious to know how people react when the last of the 20,000 bobbleheads are finally being distributed. As it turned out, the Lefty O'Doul gate, with the shorter line, actually ran out of Tim Lincecum bobbleheads at 4:45pm. Meanwhile, the Willie Mays gate, with the line that stretches on for 100 football fields, had enough Timmy's in stock to keep going until 5:25pm.

Do you really need to be at the ballpark at noon to get a bobblehead? This video proves that you absolutely do not. Not even for a Tim Lincecum bobblehead.

And contrary to what I said in the video, the very last bobblehead of the day went to a loyal faithful Giants fan and not as lousy Met fan, Thank goodness.

  • Yankee fans just seemed spoiled. I can see why Mets fans despise them. Glad you had a great time in our city.

  • Thanks. I'm not anti-Met. I'm pro Giants. Glad you got one anyway because big time timmy jim has universal appeal. For the record, I had a much nicer time and was treated nicer as an opposing fan going to a Mets game than I did a Yankees game last summer.

  • I know, it's kinda long and boring. Sorry. but aren't you glad the Mets fan didn't get the last one and the guy behind him did?

  • So sorry to hear that. What time did you get to the ballpark? That almost happened to me a few years ago with the Jason Schmidt bobblehead. I was the last person to get one and my buddy got cut off right behind me. I had to buy him a beer and garlic fries to console him. Alas, it's true. Schmidt happens.

  • Thanks for posting dude I am going to the giants game tomorrow and now I have an idea when to arrive.

  • I'm a little surprised you weren't treated well at the Yankee game since the Yankees have really nothing going on with the Giants. We Mets fans are more obnoxious towards Philly and Yankee fans. When I was on line with my husband, I asked the Giants fans around me if it was a problem that I was a Mets fan, and they were so nice to us. They said if we had been from LA, it would be a different story! I thought the line was fun where I was, except for the people who tried to cut in front of us.

  • I was one of the Mets fans at that game (I flew in from NY for the series), and I was actually thrilled to get a bobblehead. Tim Lincecum is my favorite player who's not on the Mets, and I'm rooting for you guys now that the Mets are out of it. So we're not all bad. ;) You're right though when you say that lining up at noon wasn't necessary. I got on line an hour before the gates opened (right after the tour of the park), and I still got one.

  • Wow, that has to stink. That's why I make sure I'm there when the gates open whenever the Yankees have a cool SGA, which is few and far these days.

  • Wow that was an exciting video haha

  • that happened to me we were waiting in line but they ran out and the people right in front of us got one but we didn't
