These playful Dromedary camels didn't seem to mind enjoying some horsin' around in front of an audience. Two types of camels featured: Dromedary (1 hump), and Bactrian (2 humps). Over 12,000 years ago, camels roamed Southern California and actually originated in North America. The extinct Western camel looked similar to the present day Dromedary camel (1 hump).

  • lions... i mean camels are cool.

  • The camels in the beginning may be F1 hybrids. A cross between a Dromedary and Bactrian. They have an exaggerated single hump that's much larger than a pure Drom.

  • Such beautiful animals and a joy to see them so playful!
