The K2 & 7600 are tuned in properly, the 590 is NOT TUNED IN properly and has the wrong filter set, so you cannot compare them.

Why don't you set the frequecies all the same, k2 is at 10.10650, others are at 10.10630.

@ad4c I don't agree. The K2 sounds the best, but the 7600 sounds absolutely terrible.

Ma che dire ? L'audio si commenta da solo. Per la verità, sembra talmente evidente la differenza che pare falsata da eventuali regolazioni diverse tra apparato e apparato, ma messa così....l'Elecraft sbaraglia tutti o....no ??

7600 sounds really bad. I would expect much more from such a radio.

K2 sound better...and background noise seems dont' be...but a test around a signal 9+ is a not sense test..in a middle of stations, on a very lower signal..the sensibility/selectivity come out...but it's impossible into home made test, no trust about these transceivers...when sherweng will out listed include K2/K3/TS590 we will speak about...7600 in the last appears (december2010) a no very goodradio quality/price...TS590 don't listed again... 73

without a doubt the K2 has the better receiver,extremenly quite and clean audio,the worse receiver seems to be the 590 and even the 7600 sounds good its noisy.The winner in this test is the small K2.
I owned a K2 for a year and when compared it with my actual K3 found that the K2 always received better than the K3 but its filtering was poor compared with the K3 and sold it.
