  • great system bro my uncle was the rep for eclipse they just went out of business

but check out my mustang with kinda the same set up

well i have the double din and rockford amps and jl subs

but they are both clean systems

    my dad ownes stereo store

my uncle ownes 3 stereo stores

    but good system bro

  • from what I have read, eclipse is not going out of business, they are just ending their aftermarket line. Their parent company, Fujitsu Ten, still makes many OEM systems for Toyota, Lexus and many others. Plus they make OEM software for other manufacturers factory nav systems.

itd be sweet though if you made one last year with a line of badass high end stuff.

  • naw am lookig for the strong gets an most krispy bass sound... want it to thump...bt am not sure if i change my kikers to you kind it wount give me the kind of sound am looking for...hmm well ama try them out and see wat i get...how many do you recomend?

  • Honestly, I'm not sure if these are for you. What model Kickers do you have and what model amp(s) do you have? I don't want to be rude, but you seriously don't sound like you know what you are doing. Speaking english is a start.

  • Nice HU!!!!

  • @sn95chico do you know where i can find the 2007 model ones because i got some and i dont have the model # and my cousin wants some just like mine

  • no thats what i mean fujitsu ten is huge and will still be over seas just not here in usa

my uncle is the rep for them and it sucks really bad. but eclipse went down hill fast =.

thats what happens when you start making shit in china and not japan

  • the subs are ENTRY level subs that means there probably as plain as you get. SVC 4ohm, and to begin with that amp is suppose to be 1 ohm stable, , I even tried connecting just 1 twelve to it and the same problem. i honestly think the one i have is just bad amp. trust me i'm no amateur, i currently running 3 12" subs with a RF 20001bd at a 1.34 ohm load.

  • well you left out a HUGE part of your story. what ohms were the subs' voice coils rated at? and what type of amp? what impedance is the amps supposed to be run at? you should never have to switch the same sub. Looks like the 5500s come in either single 4ohm or duel 4 ohm (run as 2ohm total). In fact, unless you change amps, its had to see how you "changed" from 2 to 4 ohms and kept both subs. sounds like you are mismatching your subs/amps, which will lead to an amp clipping.

  • no offense but i'll have to disagree with you, either i had a bad amp or it simply was overated. i was only running two MTX 5500's (an entry level sub) ran it first at 2ohms then at 4ohms, it would run fine on low and mid volume, and the clipping light would blink with the bass line. and as soon as i cranked it boom, it would fail, then come on again. gains were never past 3/4 of the way. it's the only amp that has done that. but maybe i'm complaining too much after all i only paid $230

  • i hate aluminum cones

  • how do you like your eclipse subs? i got the 4-channal, 75 watt amp that eclipse makes, im not sure of the modle # all i know is the last noumbers are 4000 but its crisp and clear.
