Dan and the band perform Tullemore Dew/Phoenix as the opening song for the Live In Houston Show. Sorry it has a few glitches!

  • Thanks again for a great video. This is the best concert! Do you know anything about the original recording? Who did it - it looks professional. Was it ever released?

  • It is definately professionally done, but was never released. Dan lost his falsetto that night and so I think that is why it was never released. I would love a fresh copy without the glitches!

  • I second and third all comments. What a concert? This is my all time favorite of Dan at his career. I love him at all stages don't get me wrong,he was like vintage wine at this moment. I believe there is another copy or copies out there. Dan said in a interviews he had six or more concerts on film, that has never been released to the public. We can only hope that Jean, will share those with us. She has been so gracious sharing her thoughts, photos and of course the song that he wrote for her.

  • This is the song (medley) that first made me buy a Fogelberg album. Then, it was like discovering the fountain of youth musically.

Simply put, no one has played and sang with more passion for the craft than Dan. RIP

  • @ldanforth3 Me too.

  • @ldanforth3 I'll also be glad to trade Britney, Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, P!nk, Ke$ha, Beyonce, Kanye, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus, any of today's rappers & even Taylor Swift to have Dan back. He's a greater musician & songwriter than any of those, by a landslide. R.I.P. Dan...you'll be greatly missed as your music touched millions worldwide.

  • What I wouldn't give for a Blu-ray copy of this concert. Dan was the ultimate!

  • Yum! Beyer's M88N's Brighter than TG's....

  • Early drop down D song. This audio is bad. What couldn't he do? Other then cheat death. Lyrics A+ Arrangement A+ music A+

I'll swap 2 Bush's, a Cheney and a Obama to have him back.

pre10 any chance of paring your video with some digital audio?

  • It was for me too. When I realized there were earlier albums, I couldn't get them fast enough, and I couldn't wait for the next one to come out. RIP Dan - your music lives on.

  • Such an awesome song!! Thanks for posting even though it isn't the best quality....this is honesty the first time I have listened to ANY YT video all the way through that wasn't of good qualtiy!! I still love this song and am so glad you posted it! THANKS!

  • Same here. The first song I ever heard from him was "Power of Gold." The first LP I ever bought was "Phoenix." - January, 1980. I wore it out. By summer, I had to go to the record store and buy another LP (and a cassette for my car stereo). LOL

Classic. He is sorely missed. R.I.P. Dan.

  • Perfectly stated.
