"Ouvre ton coeur," with a text by Delâtre, is an infectious bolero from the second volume of Bizet's collected songs, published posthumously. The music actually first appears in the ode-symphony Vasco da Gama, composed in 1859--60. It contains a rhythmic piano accompaniment with a distinctly Latin sound. In it, a woman attempts to gain love by persuading a man to open his heart.Another song from the Granada Concert in 2006.

  • Love how you've put this together with the lyrics and beautiful images. Is this you singing?

  • I wish! This is Philippe Jaroussky in a concert in the Patio de los Marmoles in Granada in 2007 I think. Thanks for the feed back and I,m glad you liked it, Luindriel.

    Regards

  • This is in the key of F minor/A-flat major. Never seen the sheet music to know for sure, but I have perfect pitch, so I can at least narrow it down to the two. Lol!

  • I go to Meridian Middle School (: & i'm in 7th grade.. we're singing this song, & our teacher is CRAZY about us getting the notes & it's super hard! this is the only one i found that is what we sing, thanks! i love it(:

  • What key is this in?

  • I'm singing this for NATS, and I'm struggling so much with the little three grace notes at the end of each phrase. I keep on closing my palette, and for some reason, cannot for the life of me open them. My vocal teacher says that I keep on "hitting" the second grace note, and I know it sounds awful, but I don't know what to do! I don't want to skip them, but I am having SO much trouble with them it's ridiculous!

wow that turned into a rant. sorry. :P

  • oh this is beautiful, I love your voice :)

  • @ForeverJuliet Probably in a lower key because Phillipe is a man. Just a guess.

  • love this song... we sang it in choir

    u sing it reaalllyyyyy well!

  • n'a-t-on pas envie de le prendre au mot ?

  • I'm working on this for a recital... it seems lower than the music I have. Just as beautiful, though!

  • Yeah I guess it does say that ...

I put a link to the video in my blog because I'm studying this song right now. :) It might show up in the stats for the video.
