RAM BOOSTER: http://rambooster.net/

RAM BOOSTER 2.0 download: http://www.sci.fi/~borg/rambooster/download.htm

Ok so we all know that Windows Vista isn't as good as XP when it comes to RAM performance especially with Laptops, this program I use called 'RAM Booster' is free downloadable software (freeware) that has a good effect on boosting system performance in Windows Vista by automatically ending processes etc & freeing up RAM.

Here I show how Vista is taking up all of my 3 GB of RAM on the laptop (100%) & after using Ram Booster it cuts that by over half (down to around 40%) leaving around 60% free again. Application, & page opening etc is shown a dramatic improvement as it continues to work automatically from the taskbar.

Of course It isn't officially supported in Vista but does work nonetheless & can be used with XP, windows 2000, ME & 98 just the same.

There is now an improved version for download but in the video I use an older version (v2.0).

  • hey man thanks for the comment. logic keeps on running out of memory on a 3gig vista set-up. i think it can only handle 1 gig of ram. should i rey this anyway? what's the benefits? I'm a bit hesitant to try these 'free apps coz I've been stuck with a $50 bill in the past just to remove them....

  • @russhurley Hi russ, hmm since I posted this I would try getting the free program 'advanced Windows care' & it is free, you can open other features to it by paying but you won't need to. With this program it provides links to its other free software which you want to download which then integrates with it. There's an memory app just like this one for it. Plus you get the added benefit of being able to repair windows registry etc with the other program.

  • nice link to infected program!

  • @deltaUKA never been infected as long as I used it, but since I posted this like about a year ago hey who knows ? I don't control the website/ or application content. This vids old now try the free 'advanced windows care' which has another free similar app to run off it. It does the same thing

  • im not trying to be a douche but this program sucks its such a huge process its running at 250mb right now and firefox is right under it at 50mb and after optomizing everything got slower D: LAME

  • sounds to me like you just need more RAM full stop

  • Sir, This is not infected, I scanned it with avast antivirus, I will scan it with virus total in a minute which scans with all the best anti-malware programs out there...

  • @Icyykit Oh, I forgot to say that I'm running an ATI Radeon Mobility X1800 which SUCKS, 1 Ghz dual core processor, and 2 Gb RAM.

  • @BKsMassive Have you even ever tried a game on Vista? How the fuck do you know anything? I guess the guy who played Counter Strike: Source on full resolution and almost full graphics on Windows Vista Ultimate doesn't know shit. And nice one on the "your mom" thing. I could have expected better from an ignorant little shit older than 12 who has something better to do than support things that shouldn't matter to him.

  • @Icyykit

    ahahahaha! what a fucking prick!

why do you think everyone stayed on XP? no games fucking worked on Vista because it was a piece of shit! like your mother in bed.

  • @BKsMassive Christ what a dumbass. First of all, Windows 7 and Windows Vista are so much the same that drivers specifically for Vista sometimes work on 7. Second, not ALL games run on XP, even more games work on Vista than XP, and the SAME AMOUNT of games work on 7 as Vista. Did you ever stop to think about compatibility mode or is your brain not capable? Even without it applications for any other system work on Vista.
