  • I do Taekwondo and I find this extremly cool :D

  • good stuff

  • Very cool

  • I have moved from Tenshinkan Karate to Karate Nomichi and i must say it is very different especially with the movement of the hips (rotation) and the focus on the basics ! Thanks Sensei these video's have helped allot.

  • My experience is it is about as useful as a packet of condoms to Jodie Foster.

  • if you do not stand as wide i guess in an exchange of hits would be a great oportunity to practice this and you practice jiujitsu so your comrades will be really close to you. I guess this sensei applies the technique to this type of martial art. it is up to you to recreate it to fit your technique. XD its very fun experimenting with new techniques to fit different styles.

  • iako tsuki is a punch with the opposite fist from the leg you have infront. ex. I stand with my left foot infront. so i hit with my right hand.

it can be done in stance.I did lots of tournaments and street fights aswell.

i saw that in my normal stance moving my left foot deeper into the enemies guard and striking with the right hand while twisting the hips shoulder and all would give me an extra amount of power to knock them out by striking solar plexus. (no air) but it is easily countered.

  • ok, i'm assuming iako tsuki is a punch, and your opponent takes a step while doing it.

I can see how these techniques are effective if the attacker would step out as wide as shown here,

but my question remains, what if he does not stand as wide?

for example, in jiu jitsu we learn striking very similair (identical) to karate, exept we never stand that wide, even when performing a punch..

do you have experience with performing the technique on a ''neutral stance''?

  • hes talking about doing it during attack when a iako tsuki is comming in get out of line and do the knee technique. works fine.

  • OSS!!!
