that was awesome, they inject venom through there front legs, not their jaws, and it obviously works fast. they eat everything we hate, cockroaches, bedbugs, fleas, ticks, lice, spiders....... AND THEY ARE HARMLESS TO PEOPLE, MY FUCKING CAT KILLS THEM EVERY CHANCE HE GETS, LIKE HUNDREDS OF THEM AND HE NOR I HAVE BEEN BITTEN, these are our little friends!!!!! If you have spiders, bedbugs, fleas, lice, etc. in your home and you see one of these centipedes you leave it be..........

Only praying mantis could kill those things and scorpions

@LaRoza77 A centipede ate one of my slug friends in my room >.< i do like them anyway~

@SidB8 House centipedes can crawl on the ceiling and walls. A few days ago, one fell off the ceiling (apparently) and landed right next to my keyboard as I was typing. I do not mind them, but it made my chuckle to think how others would react.
Imagine that, you could be sitting there all safe and sound and suddenly a 15 segmented house centipede drops next to you. They are large enough to make a sound (a solid "thunk") and they survive falls easily.
They are nocturnal. Sleep well!

@jeceelpz They are common in Pennsylvania as well. They are nocturnal predators, and I sleep during the day because of my work hours, so I see them quite often. I never kill them too. I save them from those who would if they are around. What more could one want? Tiny self contained robots that kill pests without interfering with human food or activity and are no danger to humans? A house which does not have them is in trouble.

Ok honest opinions here... I have a house centipede about an inch long (body, not legs) and a spider (dont know what kind) about 1/4 inch long (body). Whos gonna win in a fight? Ive seen this spider take down all kinds of shit like a wolf spider and even a cicada many times its size.

jus watchin this shit makes my SKIN CRAWL EWWWWWWWWWW

I live in the Chicago area and are very common. I often find these centipedes in the bath tub unable to get out. I NEVER KILL THEM. Instead, I help them get out and they just run away. These (along with Cellar spiders) are welcome in my home since they usually live in hidden areas, are harmless to humans, and help control the population of other harmful insects in your home. Needless to say, I don't have spider problems in my home and rarely come across a centipede. :)
Jesus Christ, these things are horrific. I HATR centipedes!!! Can't properly express my hatred for them in the English language

While watching this, I swatted something on my arm. And that something was NOTHING.
