The droughts of 2000 an 2007 nearly decimated mussel populations in Spring Creek, located in Miller County, Georgia. A potential solution is to augment flows in sections of Spring Creek with ground water pumped from nearby wells during extreme drought years. This project is a collaborative effort across many nonprofit, city, county, state and federal agencies. Video shot and concept by Tom MacKenzie. Edited by Jennifer Strickland. Video is public domain.
