  • A man who put doing the right thing ahead of politics. It was a tough time in US history and in the world, but Gerald Ford despite some mistakes, always sought to do the right and decent thing. A worthy occupant of the White House

  • @sfowatcher Huh? Yea.. a Republican President who didn't demonize his opponents & didn't pursue a hard right-wing agenda. If Ford ran today he would be rejected by the looney-tunes Republican party of 2010!

  • @glennmillerfan I don't know, but I do know a Ted Kennedy administration would be better than 12 straight years of Reagan/Bush.

  • @mr19932001

Do you think Ted Kennedy would have been the Democrat nominee for 1980 and how do you think a possible Ted Kennedy administration would have panned out?

  • As Democrat, I wish he won in '76. Because if he did, Reagan wouldn't have won in 1980.

  • He definitely was not a fit for the White House. He didn't have the executive manner. He had "Congressman" written all over him.

  • A Republican president, that says it all. God bless you, Mr. President!

  • Shoulda pardon Nixon AFTER the election, not before.

  • "A New Kind of President" That says it all.
