This movie was made for a short film contest, DVChallenge #7. The theme of this contest was memories and the time limit was 3 minutes. The subject is one that many can relate to and or have personal experience with, as I have. I'm proud to say that this film beat out 25 others to win. Please support research to find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Thanks for watching.

  • razcal52,

Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry for your family's loss, it is all too common today. Hopefully it will become a thing of the past soon. It is a terrible way to die and/or become lost to your family and friends. I semi-retired at 55 to enjoy some time while I could (just in case!) and now I am going back to work. Work is easy, living with this disease is not.

    Mike

  • My dad, a WWII decorated veteran died when he was 64 years old of this disease. Back when he was diagnosed in 1982 I had never heard of Alzhiemer's disease and I was in the medical field at the time.

My family and I watched him slowly..very slower wither away in 7 years to someone no one knew. He worked his whole life as a blue collar hero in my eyes only to die and not have any golden years with my mom. Aside of cancer which took my wife 10 years ago I can't think of a more horrible exit!

  • I am so sorry that Bob was taken from you. God will resore him in Heaven!

  • MY friend Bob, I will never forget! He was the best best friend God sent to me! Alzheimers had to take his life! I am so sad!

  • Heart breaking.. Thanks for sharing..

  • - Quite superior, except for that it's more of a commercial without an actor that's demanding donations for 2 minutes.

    - Short, to the point and WOW....This may very well be the "BEST LOOKING" video i've ever seen on youtube. (yet there's no pintless violence.)

_ You really hit the spot too.
