Basketball is what gave Zo & Jim the platform. The life saving info is available at every clinic or pharmacy across the country. Zo is obviously a good man. That he's a man of character is evident in everything he does. He has integrity in his blinks. But that said, he should've talked basketball for a sec. He's a well educated man. He knew how to say, "Forgive me but I gotta say that my basketball future is uncertain because of my illness, let's talk about the illness".

First of all, Zo has to realize he's on a SPORTS show. Rome wants to talk sports, at least a little bit. Zo wasn't giving him any sports talk at all.
Secondly, you realize Zo's probably getting paid to assist that cause? When you realize that, it looks a lot like he's just interested in his own profit, rather than adding to the talk show.
