Wonderfalls 1x00 - Unaired Pilot

The unaired original pilot of the unjustly cancelled FOX dramedy "Wonderfalls". It's basically the same pilot with Mahandra and Jaye's brother played by different actors.

Edit: I'm not planning on posting the other episodes from the DVDs (which you can find online for about 25 dollars). I don't want to be mean, it's just that I don't really have the resources or time. The only reason I'm posting this is that it's not commercially available.

Lots of people like the quirky humour shows but why do they cancel it?

This was one of the best examples of Fox having something great on their hands and not knowing how to sell it. The commercials were ridiculous. They emphasized the "wonder" of the visual graphics ("The wonder is all around!") with a sappy new-age song that had an angelic chorus singing. It looked like a fantasy drama, not a dark comedy.

With Arrested Development, I only heard how great it was from other fans when it was already two seasons in. At that point, it's too late for shows like this.

When Jaye's talking to the tv screen @ 22:15, is she like the inanimate objects talking to her? Is her life a movie that they're watching again and again, thinking her a dumb*ss for not listening to them?

I'm happy they got Lee Pace and Tracie Thoms, I only wish they would've been able to keep the music, Mr. Sandman and Tegan and Sara!

I agree. Kerry seems a little too stereotypical sassy bitchy best friend, whereas Tracie is more goofy and likable

For a second there I was thinking "That doesn't sound like Mahandra" and then I realized it was Kerry Washington. I guess she got replaced in the next episode by Tracie Thoms
