6 trips, egg sarnies and chatting to a chicken (may have been a rooster) then beans on toast when I was coming down from a friendly bus, 20p if I remember rightly for a big platefull, ahh, those were the days when you could have fun and not get arrested.

There were plenty of middle class kids at Castlemorton, lots of urban kids in shellsuits too, many many travellers old skool and new age, rastafarians, working people. All together and grooving in the sunshine. It was a beautiful weekend, and anyone who tries to reduce it to some kind of class war obviously missed the feckin point - or more probably, wasn't there.

Shame it signaled the end of an era. No-one will ever re-create what we had back then.
We really did take the piss a bit but still who cares. Can anyone remember the Bedlam system there? looked like a robot thing. Freaked the hell out of me for some reason so spent 2 days in the DIY tent.
