Fourteenth boss of No More Heroes 2. Probably my favorite battle, it feels like you're fighting Travis' true equal in terms of skill. She's very quick and nimble, as she can cover a lot of ground just by rolling. She basically has two phases: her levitating phase, and the ground battle phase.

She starts off in the levitating phase, throwing her beam swords directly at you. You absolutely CANNOT let this attack hit you, because it has the high likelihood that it'll trap you endlessly until you die. The strike knocks you down, and by the time you get yourself back up, she'll have thrown another one and knocked you back down again. You can probably time it right to avoid one of the beams, but if you get hit by it in the beginning, you might as well start over.

When you get close enough to her, she'll slam her swords down on the ground in a spider formation, potentially knocking you way back and dealing significant damage. Roll away from her when she's about to fall, then come back and deal some punishment. After you beat on her a few times, she'll move to the ground and fight you one-on-one (more like two-on-five, but anyway).

The attack that leaves her open the most is a double slash followed by a jump attack. When she gets ready to execute the jump attack, roll forward to dodge it and let fly as many blows as you can land. Another attack of hers will be a huge flurry of swings and swipes and slashes, until it ends with a sudden charge that can really put you off guard. Her final ground attack is a simple slash that can be easily dodged, but try to use the Step-in Slice to counter it instead of a regular attack. It'll do more damage.

Every now and then, she'll move back to her levitating phase (as indicated when she abruptly starts rolling wildly away from you). Just treat it like you did before and you'll be fine, so long as you dodge the beam sword projectiles. However, when she's got about three squares of life left, she'll move back to this phase for the rest of the battle, so you're stuck there until you defeat her.

One annoying tendency of hers, as you'll see in the video, is that she tends to back herself into the corner, which makes her really annoying to fight. When that happens, carefully try to weasel her out of there without taking any damage. She'll get out of there eventually, and believe me, it'll be worth it. Fighting her while she's cornered is not a good idea.

So I wish you the best of luck on this battle! I prefer Rose Nasty because you're gonna need a fast sword in order to take advantage of the downtime between her attacks. Don't be afraid to use your ecstasy gauge if you need to. And yes, I did just beat her without taking a single hit. I feel proud. :3

  • Will you do Jasper Batt Jr. or is he too hard?

  • @sup3rsmash8 I tried fighting him on deathmatch but that second form of his really knocks me out. I did beat his second form once, but I had almost no health left and his third form killed me. So yeah, I don't know if I'll ever be able to beat Jasper in deathmatch,

  • @Okoa

    Poor you...

It would've been nice of Suda to put a difficulty setting on Death Match, in my opinion...

By the way, have you beaten the game on Bitter difficulty? First segment of Prison Island

    is a bitch, there.

  • @sup3rsmash8 Yeah, a difficulty setting would be nice, but I think a better idea would've been to not make Jasper that damn cheap! I swear, that tornado punch attack is impossible to avoid.

  • @Okoa

I finally beat this Son of a Bitch on Death Match...

I used my ecstasy after the first finisher, making me stay on full health till the moment he tornado punches. Take that advice if you've problems. ;)

I ended the phase with half my health left. Onto the third form, I died here once on this form, cuz he unleashed his murder breath on me too much. But in the end, I did another try and I won.

Best advice: Use ecstasy, it'll push you through the toughest parts. ;D

  • @sup3rsmash8 Yeah, I think my problem was that I would use the ecstasy meter right at the beginning of the second form. I guess I wanted to use it before he started doing his teleport spamming and I would risk losing the full gauge. Maybe I'll try again someday. Thanks for the tips!

Unleashing in the beginning increases the chances of getting your ass handed to him afterwards.

Use it before teleport punching. If no damage's taken in the first battle and in the beginning of the 2nd battle, you will remain full health before the tornado punches. Unleashing in the start was one of the reasons I got my ass handed to me with his annoying teleport punches.

  • Youre amazing...I always die when I do this boss in deathmatch mode. Plus the music is really epic!

  • @warlordcv1 You get them during the course of the story. I believe it's after the 8th rank match when you get them.

  • how do get the double swords? when exactly?
