Wouldn't it be dangerous for exams? Say, the papers are by chance placed underneath the hot Sun. Or even, the exam papers rub together causing friction? It may be good for doodling, but probably not for serious work. I even have the impression that photocopying will not work since the machine heats up the paper.

Got the same pen, bought today. Also it disapears on 60C, but on -10C it comes back, the ink...really cool. I tested it...

a question, if i answer an exam with this and i get it back graded after 2 weeks, would this still erase well? THATS IMPORTANT

Man, respect for being left-handed. Never really thought about it before but seems like a real hassle not being able to see what you are writing.

@TaleDreamer It only disappears if the heat is 60C and above, that's what I heard... I'm not sure but I will test out those things in your comment.

What kind of pen is this and where do you get it and do you have to have a metal lighter or can any worlfine?

@antoniomanley It is a Pilot FriXion ball pen. An eraseble gel ink pen made by Pilot.
It can be erased by anything that is hot enough.
