These three radio ads for Barack Obama aired during his campaign for Congress in Illinois's First District in March 2000. Obama lost to four-term incumbent Bobby Rush, who was endorsed by President Clinton (in a departure from his general policy of avoiding primary endorsements). Clinton also recorded a 30-second radio spot for Rush and campaigned with him in Chicago.
