I just watched this video and noticed that the Red/Black connectors in this video are opposite to the universal standard that is commonly used for the APP's amongst RC and HAM operators.
The red should be on the Right. ( I use RED is RIGHT as a ditty to help me remember).
It makes no difference if all your packs are the same but if you like to share packs then it's best to stick with the standard because there is nothing stopping you from connecting them with reverse polarity.

.....? The ESC is the proportional part of the throttle.... Without it, the motor will be spinning full speed.
