Think like a head of sporting Department. If your conferance schedual is hard enough to get you into the National championship game, Alla Florida Bama Oaklahoma Texas USC then why would you let a Utah team come in and show you up? Just schedual games you know you will win. Win all your conferance games and you will be champs. Utah could win every game for the next 20 years and they will not get one Championship. Its a Good Old Boy system. You can't take away money from the BCS its their system.

ok I understand what you're saying now. I would suggest this then, take the scheduling away from the coaches. The only way this current system will work is if you have a third party doing the scheduling. The way the system stands, schools like Utah are DONE before the season even starts. Do you agree? I'm trying to understand how do Recruiters sell the Utah Program NOW! 13-0 and not even a share of the Title! And you just crushed ALABAMA!

BYU won it in 85.. But that was before the BCS. If there was a playoff Utah might not of won. But the way the BCS is set up only good old boys get a chance. All Utah did was beat every team they played. Maybe next year they should only play SEC teams in nonconferance match ups. It is the coach who makes the schedual not the BCS.. Back in the nineties #1 Miami, came to Provo and got spanked by Tie Depner and BYU. I am sure that if Utah would have beat Florida in the season Utah would be #1.

I'm confused on what your point is, are you saying the Utes don't deserve to be ranked #1THIS YEAR? Does the Stomping of Alabama carry any weight as far as the Ranking of Utah? Does being the only undefeated team in the Nation carry any weight? Give me your opinion.

I'm a huge BYU fan but Utah should've gotten a chance to play in the National Championship. How could Florida play in the National Championship after losing to Ole Miss! What the hell! And I was watching the mountain channel and it said urban meyers said the BCS is the best system. Yeah I bet the only reason he left Utah is because the same thing happened to him where Utah went undefeated and again were the only undefeated team in the 2004 season they didn't get to be #1. The BCS is a joke!

@BP3DP, Yeah they probably did spank Miami, but you need to remember that Miami didn't end up finishing #1 that year.......it's the final rankings that matter and byu beat a team that didn't end up being as good as they thought they would be. Utah beating Bama' is bigger than any win that byu had in their whole history! Don't even think about denying it, pal. You know that's the truth. BYU's overall football program is not as great as people claim them to be........

@BP3DP Actually byu won it in 84'. Everybody knows that byu didn't deserve to be the national champs that year because they didn't beat even one team that finished the season ranked in the top 25! Beating ZERO ranked teams all year long doesn't prove you're a national champ! BYU wasn't tested against any quality teams in 84'. The difference is that 08' Utah beat 4 teams that finished ranked in the top 25 and beat 6 bowl eligible teams. And Florida lost to mediocre Ole Miss! UF #1? Seriously??!

Who else did we beat worth talking about?  TCU, Oregon State, and BYU. Those three teams were far better than Bama was.

Bama was the fourth best team we beat in 2008.

I can count at least 5 teams in the MWC that we had a tougher time with then those patsy Alabama Crimson Tide. You boys in your conference didn't hav e to play week in and week out against our teams. Way to get on board 6 months later hella....what ever jamma.
