White Ghost Shivers in Mama Said

Local Austin favorite, the White Ghost Shivers, singing one of my favorite songs in the world to Charleston to. Once again, the ever-lovely Cella Blue is featured on vocals.

These guys are great, one of my favorite local bands. If you like what you hear, you should go check out their music on the iTunes store (their latest CD 'Everyone's Got 'Em' has a great version of this song).

They put on a great show. I've seen them a few times. If you ever get a chance, do yourself a favor and go.

Just saw them last night at the Austin Music Hall and they were super entertaining. They've got a new fan.

They're doing 1920"s jazz with a hint of klezmer. They're good musicians and they work hard, I just don't see anything new that they bring to the table. I suppose if they expose a younger generation to this style of music that isn't bad. I just don't think they're that interesting for more than a few songs. Just saw them at Fitzgerald's tonight, didn't stay very long.
