Took about 9 months work to complete this little monster. Its a 2002 Buell Blast, with a single cylinder Yanmar diesel engine. Replacing the original 492cc gas engine, this single cylinder 435cc diesel engine has 12hp @ 3600 rpm and has been trial tested to over 100 mpg! Their is a catch with this little guy, its automatic! This bike was conceived for the sole purpose of urban riding. This city bike is ready for the stop and go of red light traffic while getting insane mpg.

  • Hey you got a parts list for things you need to do in order to make this work?

  • @welditup85 Um well good question, the way it was designed was in "kit" form so that you could actual transplant the same thing into another existing buell blast, it used the existing wiring harness and all of the existing hand bar controls (except the clutch) but we just never got around to building any of the kits. We sold that prototype bike on ebay for around $3k but the kit would cost about that much as well, the engine alone was $1500.

  • That is Kick Ass! I want one. What is the top speed and how much would you sell it for?

  • @CorvetteLvr2000 Um top speed was like 65 or 70, with a different clutch you could go a little faster than that

  • would be better with a stack

brilliant idea though for 100mpg i would rather be seen on that then a vespa of simlare mpg

  • @greenbull56 Why scooter are a little gayer then a motorcycle

see all

  • how much torque does it have?

  • Can you give me info on this set up? I have a Buell and need some info on such a transplant. (Converter, set-up and so on) Thanks.

  • Is vicious cycles still in business, I want to convert a kz1000p to a turbo diesel. If vicious is done can you point me in the right direction?

  • @swtartdude Any plans on making a kit?

  • @swtartdude Damn, I would so spring for one of those kits. I would love to run a biodiesel bike or run off road diesel in it. Not like they would dip a bike anyways! Why did you not make any kits?

  • did you use CVT?

  • @swtartdude - would love to pick your brain on your kit development. Friend and myself are thinking of producing kits and/or parts for bike conversions to diesel. So far a Dnepr, & Honda have been converted successfuly.
