@AV8BHARRIERPLUS Why sink your own ship? That's an act of cowardice, or stupidity. She was battered to a burning hulk and would have sunk anyway; especially after being torpedoed. You mean men went to the trouble of scuttling her, as she was actually sinking? That makes no sense. Like the Tirpitz and the Sharnhorst; if you pick a fight with "numerically superior forces” or simply “superior forces” you will usually lose and the Bismarck did. Q.E.D.
