May 18 2007 gorilla Bokito escaped from the gorilla island in Blijdorp Zoo. He injured 4 people, one woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. One cannot blaim the gorilla for his behaviour. It's not his nature to attack humans. Even more, Bokito was raised by humans.

  • @MrEduardConstantin Obviously its so important to you, you react on a comment 2 months old. If you don't care: why watch the video and why react? LOL

  • @MartinaMovies Lol like is so important to spell good Netherlands . Try spelling in english ! and talk for your self nobody cares about this ..... : D later

  • Bokito is my hero. He's better than Jurassic Park!

  • @Mrklojo Real idiots don't know how to spell 'Netherlands'

  • @ninaeteve You're seeing it wrong.. look further then the simple conclussion: Animals are best in nature..

Look at the situation now of the natural habitat in the jungles of Africa.. Woods being cut, Gorilla's being shot for nothing.. If they release all Gorilla's in the wild now.. they will extinct within a year.. they can't defend themselfs against people's guns, they don't have any chance in nature anymore..

So don't blame the zoo's.. thanks to the zoo's many animal kinds still exists

  • @ShoulderShrugger their rights are to not be killed by poachers. in sanctuaries they're protected. and they do have compassion they've saved the lives of human who've fallen into their enclosures on numerous occasions. but they're not incredibly complex creatures. they basically only care about food, dominance and companionship. "freedom" isn't on their to do list.

  • @PsychoPirate1166 and you clearly underestimate animals and both their rights and their emotional and intellectual depth (apes even already have primitive forms of humour)...

  • @ShoulderShrugger he escaped to attack the woman who was starring into his eyes. she thought she was connecting with him; but in reality that's probably the worst thing you can do for a dominant silver back.

you clearly know nothing about animals.

  • @PsychoPirate1166 the going where their feet take them was only exagerated. You see in cases like the escaped gorilla that some animals have a longing for freedom... you can't deny that...

  • @PsychoPirate1166 Yeah but there are other ways to do so. Zoo's are not the way to go where wild animals forget most of their instincts etc. and in most cases can't be put back into their natural habitat, simply because they don't know how to survive there. There are wildparks where animals are protected and enjoy a vast amount of benefits, but still do have the chance to live in accordance to their nature. I agree with that. But zoo's... come on...
